The world of Garth and Wayne was based on the two teenagers who loved music. They would spend most of their time talking about babes, music, and politics. The two would also get visited by guests who they would entertain and force to say curse words. In their 1990 show, they got visited by Aerosmith. The band was impressed by Wayne’s talent and even let him sing the show’s theme with them.
The skit also showed Garth’s cousin Barry played by Tom Hanks, who worked as their roadie. This recurring sketch was one of the most loved and continued to make the audience laugh. Wayne, played by Mike Myers remained quite the point of interest of the skit as he revealed that he kissed Madonna (controversial singer at the time) and said that the experience was terrifying.
