Max is the robotic/computer pilot, which is actually in charge and in command of a Drone Ship Trimaxium, from the planet of Phaelon. He is basically the brain that manages the operations of the ship and its sole mission is to collect valuable data from all other planets that are in the universe. He sends all the data back to the planet he calls home – Phaelon and the cool part is that he has got a time machine, which allows him to travel at speeds that are faster than light.

All of that definitely makes him one of the coolest robots in movies ever.
