It seems that no one remembers the BFF code today. You never ever go after the BF or GF of your BFF. That doesn’t fly with anyone, it didn’t before and it doesn’t now. Taylor Swift and Katy Perry used to be like two peas in a pod, until their friendship broke up in 2012, when Katy inexplicably started dating John Mayer, who was the ex BF of Taylor.
Taylor was fuming and furious with Katy afterwards and the claws came out, when she accused Katy of making an attempt to sabotage Taylor’s tour.
