To date almost 140,000 kids in the United States are adopted on an annual basis. We all know that includes many kids adopted by famous faces. Angelina Jolie alone has taken in her fair share of kids to form her large and in charge family, as has Madonna. Did you know though that a lot of celebrities themselves were adopted once upon a time?
A true icon of beauty, Marilyn Monroe’s face is plastered across the globe. Of course a life lost too soon, it seems she’s been able to live longer in death. A sad thing, but a statement that holds some truth. Which speaking of, did you know that after her father died her mother was left alone during a time when it was hard as hell to raise a child on your own. Likely overwhelmed, a young Marilyn was abandoned and spent most of her childhood in one foster home after the other. You have to wonder if any of those foster parents remember having that legend in their home back then.
