The world was quite infatuated with the woman who’ll always be known as Snooki when MTV aired The Jersey Shore. Shining a light on the “guido lifestyle,.” we were obsessed, and then surprised to learn that one of the most recognizable people on the show wasn’t actually Italian by blood.

While brought up in an Italian home, Snooki was born in Chile. Soon after her birth she was adopted by a nice Italian couple and raised here in the states. So she may not have been Italian like many of her castmates, she was raised in a household and that pretty much shapes you more than anything, right?
