There is a pretty darn good reason why the founder of Wendy’s Dave Thomas started the Dave Thomas Foundation to reduce adoption costs. It is because he himself was adopted.

A mere six weeks old when he was taken into his new home, Dave found a true appreciation for being adopted. Which is a great thing because if you’ve ever seen how much an adoption can cost, it really starts to add up and for many, it is not something they can do financially – even if they want to, they can’t afford it. So of course that’s why Dave’s foundation is forever a blessing even though he’s not still with us.
