This blonde Brit grew up racing karts, then moved into open wheel.

In 2010, Mann became the first female driver to win a pole position at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in any category, and only one of two female drivers to be a race winner in Indy Lights.

The next year, she drove an IndyCar for the first time and qualified for her first Indianapolis 500. She was the eighth woman in history, and the first British female to start the 500 mile race.

With a fastest qualifying lap speed of just below 230mph, Mann is the second fastest female driver in history at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

This year, Mann will appear for the 5th time at the Indianapolis 500 at the 100th Running.
