Here’s a rundown of how to wager your bets on the Kentucky Derby if you’re just a beginner.
If you feel like your horse is definitely going to win, or at least place in the top three, place a $2 win-place-show bet.
This kind of racetrack bet is known as an “across the board” bet.
If your horse finishes third, chances are, you won’t lose all of your $6, only some.
