The release of Sam Rami’s 2002 Spider-Man kick started a new era of comic book moviemaking, with its humor, and audience friendly action. The final film in the series, Spider-Man 3, rocked the box office when it collected $890.88 million worldwide.
The two reboots of the originals haven’t really performed better, since they both only managed to make more than $700 million worldwide, which is still respectable, but not box-office shattering.
