Milli Vanilli, were also caught lip-syncing during their live MTV performance, when their track skipped and started repeating itself over and over. They were at the height of their fame and a major technology fail ended it all for them. They had won a Grammy for their album “Girl You Know It’s True, but it was later found that they didn’t even record their own vocals, and had to return the award!
This was for sure one of the most infamous and costly lip sync snafus of all time.
