When placed in a one on one debate against Hillary Clinton, Trump was left confused and floundering, as Hillary picked him off and forced him into a corner.

For Hillary, preparing for a debate means getting the questions in advance from one of the reporters, then having her staff figure out what she should say. Then practice saying the answers in front of a mirror for 2 weeks.
I dare say that I could probably ace an exam if I knew what the questions were going to be.
Hillary was able to deliver “zingers” because of her previously arranged signals with Lester Holt. Her later ability to “Zing” Trump were handled when Donna Brazile gave her questions in advance. And the moderators’ refusal to ask any embarrassing questions of Hillary’s past crimes, helped a lot also.
