Ricky Grevais, the host of the 73rd Golden Globes, started the night with a bang with his opening monologue.
Hosting the award ceremony for the fourth time, the host called Sean Penn a snitch, joked about NBC’s lack of Golden Globe nominations, and mocked Caitlyn Jenner.
However, the host did not stop there, but trashed Adam Sandler’s movie, Pixels, saying that The Martian was funnier.
Even though Gervais tends to go a little overboard with his jokes, he has proven to be the reason for the Golden Globe’e high ratings. Hence, you can expect to see him on your small screen once again next year. However, for the celebrities, this is not good news.
