Robert Downey Jr., now known as the Iron Man, might be a highly educated, sarcastic, tech genius on screen, but in real life, he did not complete high school. At the age of 16, he dropped out of Santa Monica High School and went back to his hometown of New York to pursue his dreams of becoming an actor.

Before moving to California with his father, Downey was studying at the Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center in upstate New York. But after some time, he was drawn back to acting, which is the reason he left high school and continued to polish his acting skills in New York.
