Katherine Hepburn winning the Oscar for Best Actress in 1981, for her role in “The Loons, the Loons” was definitely undeserved. It is even more astonishing that she managed to win, considering that the other nominees included heavyweights such as, Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton, Susan Sarandon, and Marsha Mason.
Many people still think that Hepburn only managed to win the Oscar that year, due to sentimental votes and not because she delivered an outstanding performance.
