Of course you know who this guy is. If you know nothing about baseball – you still know this guy’s name. And of course if you grew up in the ‘90s you know him because The Sandlot was one of your favorite movies.
Anyways, Babe Ruth is forever a legend in the world of sports, but before he rose to that memorable status, he was just a kid. A kid who at the age of seven was sent to live in an orphanage. It wasn’t just him though, his parents sent him and his sister away. He landed in St. Mary’s Industrial School for Boys where he was taught the game of baseball and well, the rest is sort of history.
