The Batman movie franchise has been spread over a quarter of a century of Batman movies, which goes back to Tim Burton and Michael Keaton’s 1989 original, and also includes the likes of Val Kilmer and George Clooney.
The real earnings of the franchise though have come thanks to Christopher Nolan. The three Batman movies that Nolan made have contributed the bulk of the earnings to the overall worldwide earnings of the franchise. The 2012 release, The Dark Knight Rises managed to earn $1.08 billion worldwide alone, which accounts for nearly one-third of the entire movie franchise’s haul in a quarter of a century!
