It was the Super Bowl of 1993 when a scoring number of people booked to watch the half-time show that was to be performed by the great Michael Jackson. It was the first time in the history of Super Bowl that the crowd instantly increased during the show.
His appearance on the stage was extremely dramatic with flash smoke and he stood still for almost 2 minutes. He performed ‘We Are The World’ with a chorus of more than 3,000 children. The screen showed footage of Jackson taking part in charity work to give the performance the right kind of feel.
Jackson also sang ‘Black or White’, ‘Billie Jean’, and ‘Jam’. It is said that it is because of Jackson that Super Bowl Half-Time Shows have become a huge hit among the audience and require greatest artists to be booked.
