In 1948, the cheerleading squad formed. They called themselves the Eaglettes, but had a change of heart in the 1970s and began calling themselves the Liberty Belles. However, they were still not satisfied with their current and finally, took their latest name, the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders.
