Our favorite serial killer movie was quite close to being ruined. How? Well, what could have been better to see Leonardo Di Caprio in the lead role? Actually it would have just hurt all of us. And so just thank the stars that director Mary Harron chose our very own friendly Batman, Christian Bale.
In fact Leonardo Di Caprio himself gave up the role since he was such a heartthrob at that time. Imagine what would have happened to his fan base had he starred as a psycho serial killer.
Not doubting Caprio’s ability to give justice to the role but he just wasn’t right for the role at that time. Whereas Christian Bale proved quite well that he is in touch with his darker side. We’re glad that the cast was changed. After all Patrick Bateman is our favorite serial killer around town.
