Let’s Dance was released on April 14, 1983 and was David Bowie’s fifteenth studio album. It was a stepping stone in the career of Stevie Ray Vaughan who was lead guitarist. Bowie had met him when he was in Switzerland attending the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1982. Bowie was apparently blown away after seeing the guitarist perform and wanted to work with him.
