When Bernie Sanders announced he wanted to run for president, the world had mixed opinions. Republicans laughed and said he was too liberal (for the record, he’s more socialist than liberal). Democrats cheered – except the ones supporting Hillary Clinton. Residents of other countries praised Sanders for wanting a living wage and universal healthcare – benefits already in place in other parts of the world.
Whether you love Sanders or hate him, you might agree that he’s made some unforgettable statements. Here are 10 of the most memorable Bernie Sanders quotes, starting with this one about a living wage:
“Nobody who works 40 hours a week should be living in poverty.”
Bernie is the only one with any plan, any brains, and anything to say that is real out there.
I understand Sanders statement about people working 40 hours a week shouldn’t be living in poverty. People are living in poverty because of the EPA overextended reach into business. Businesses are going overseas because of the stringent rules and regulations of the EPA. There are too many duplicate, complicated rules and regulations for business to stay in business causing the loss of many jobs. This is all Obama and the liberal Democrats agenda. They want people to be dependent upon the government. Why: Power????? A person who is dependent upon the government can never be successful.
Hey Bernie, I got news for ya, nothing is a right if you have to steal it from someone else.
It’s not your right if I have to pay for it.
