Conor McGregor doesn’t seem like a guy who has a solid game plan, and that can count against him when he comes to face technical opponents in the future. His main weapon of choice before the fight was trash talking Diaz and provoking him with insults.
McGregor’s game plan was to come in hard and knockout Diaz in the first round, similar to how he had destroyed Jose Aldo in 13 seconds at UFC 194. This game plan suited Diaz; since he came prepared to take some shots and boy did he take some shots! Once it became clear that Conor’s shots weren’t doing any damage, he came out with his own flurry of shots that stunned ‘The Notorious’ and signaled the end for him.

I have some issues with this article. 1st of all, McGregor easily made more money in losing to Diaz than you, I, and everyone reading this article will make in their entire lives combined. He probably doesn’t need any advice from you. His style is stand up striking (punches and kicks) and take down defense. Does Jon Jones need to become a better wrestler? How about Ruthless? No, that’s not their style. He lost 1 fight to a bigger man and he should be admired for handling it like a good sport.
