The first Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi was born in 1917. She is also the second longest-serving Prime Minister of India. She was known for her role in the Indian National Congress and was admired for her work.
She was also the one to initiate the East Pakistan war, which resulted in India’s victory. She was one of the most influential political personalities of her time and is still remembered for her ruthlessness in politics. She also served as a personal assistant to her father Jawaharlal Nehru during his tenure as the Prime Minister.
