Known for his insanely hilarious puns and comic characters, Jim Carrey is also one of those Hollywood celebs who left high school and never got a degree. Carrey left high school on a very special day – his 16th birthday.
Growing up in the Toronto area, Carrey and his family struggled financially during the start of his comedy career, which his father supported whole-heartedly. It was during this time the future Ace Ventura star lived in a van with the rest of his family, and he had to drop out of school to work the night shift at different factories to make ends meet.
Eventually, the family was able to resolve their difficulties and moved into a new home, and the young comedian would return to the comedy clubs with a polished act, and helped establish him as the great actor and comedian we know today.
After leaving high school, he immediately went to a comedy club, which was his inspiration from the beginning. Unlike anyone else, Carrey has the ability to make flexible and bizarre facial expressions to make the audience burst out in laughter.
He has always been an extrovert who loved to make others laugh and as a child he was fond of performing for anyone who would love to watch a fun act.
