He attended Naribonne High School in LA but dropped out around 15-16 to pursue acting and the arts. He worked many odd jobs from then on, such as ushering in a porn theatre called the Pussycat Theatre, a recruiter for an aerospace company, and a video clerk. Former and current actors remember the Pulp Fiction director during this time, saying that he was an amazing clerk, and was a huge movie buff, and used his knowledge to spread the word on really cool films.
