Edward Norton started a crowdfunding program for CrowdRise. The co-founder of the program is Shauna Robertson. They started the program in 2010.

Crowdrise has the same function as other crowdfunding programs such as Indidgogo and Kickstarter. The only difference between their program and all the other programs is that they only host campaigns targeting charities.

To date, the site has managed to raise money for a variety of different charitable causes. CrowdRise manages to raise money by using sense of humor. Their slogan is “If you do not give back, no one like you.”
