Did I just misspell Thor’s girl? By Asgaardian gods, no.
Was it created in the early 40’s?
Nope.
She appeared in 2000 actually, celebrating the turn of the millennium in “Tears of the Gods” (Vol. 2 #22). Ironic isn’t it?
It doesn’t end there. By issue #44, October 2001, she had lost all her cosmic powers and goes back to live on earth. If you’re thinking ‘happily ever-after’ you’re wrong: she is waiting for the day she will regain her full power to and become the Designate.
Why?
Because she believes she is destined to.
Yeah, like I’m destined to meet an alien who’d turn me into Captain Ultra (the plumber guy who was chosen by aliens for some mysterious reasons we’ll never know, nor understand. #ComicLogic).
