Baseball fans, are you ready?
The 2016 Major League Baseball season kicks off on April 3, 2016, with a Sunday afternoon match-up between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates, the two teams with the best regular season records in 2015, at PNC Park in Pittsburgh.
Coincidentally, both of these teams rank in our list of top baseball stadiums across America.
If you haven’t been to these teams’ stadiums, you’re missing out! They each entail a different experience for baseball lovers.
The Chicago Cubs stadium, Wrigley Field, is such a genuine baseball experience.
Built in 1914, the field still has the old-school scoreboard, which has to be manually changed after each score and inning. It also has any ivy-covered brick outfield wall, which you can recognize from anywhere.
The first team to play in the stadium was called the Chicago Whales.
If you’re thirsty before or after the game, there are many bars in Wrigleyville to get your pre or post-party on.
Oh, FFS! Baseballs don’t drop into San Francisco Bay never to be seen again, they float and each one is promptly fished out by some lucky kayaker.
Thanks! I fixed it..now look:)
Not including Oriole Park at Camden Yards in this list makes it pretty hard to take it seriously. This is especially true when you consider that 6 of the 9 ballparks you listed were influenced directly by the success of Camden Yards.
hey guess what…i wrote the article and i am adding camden yards on there:) thanks!
Where is Target Field – one of the best I have seen and better than some you listed….
I don’t know what your criteria was but it was’nt good. For Bill awhile I thought it was a joke.
#9 and #10 are both Citizens Bank. Where’s Camden?
Camden is #10 on my computer.
And no Yankee Stadium?? pfffttt.
Another ignorant comment about Phillies fans! Guaranteed the writer didn’t experience anything but a good time at Citizens Bank Park. I’ve taken many out of town guest to “The Bank” and every time the guest are always surprised by a pleasant experience and knowledgeable fan base.
You must be kidding. No Target Field or Progressive Field?
I cannot take this seriously! How can you not include Dodger Stadium! Are you nuts! Vin Scully even called it “Cathedral Like” and he knows cause he has done baseball for 67 years! That’s right kiddies, 67 years!
Marlins Park?, yuk.
