Better known as the talk show host of Geraldo from 1987-1998, Geraldo Rivera born Gerald Michael Rivera is also an American attorney, reporter, and author. Currently the host of “Geraldo at Large,” Rivera was actually a successful rower and athlete as an undergraduate at the University of Arizona, where he studied business administration. After a brief career in law enforcement with the NYPD as an investigator, Geraldo entered law school and received his JD from Brooklyn Law School in 1969 near the top of his class, and became a well-known attorney amongst the Puerto Rican activist group, the Young Lords.
