6) Kate Winslet, Titanic (6 of 14)
In 1997, the movie Titanic came out and people went crazy over the love story between Rose and Jack. The memorizing story made an estimated $2 billion globally and $650 million dollars locally.
What does she hate about the movie that elevated her to stardom? How can she hate the role that made her so famous?
Well Kate Winslet has enough reason to despise the role. Remember the scene where she goes nude to let Jack (Leonardo Di Caprio’s character) paint her picture? Rose (Kate’s character) said, “Paint me like one of your French girls.” — and this line is the reason she hated starring in Titanic.
She claimed that she was sick of people imitating to draw her nude picture. The 40 year old star had stated numerous times that she wish she hadnt done the film.

Mark Wahlberg-
The dude that was in “Boogie Nights”, The Departed”, “The Perfect Storm”,”The Italian Job”, and “The Planet of the Apes” remake WASN’T a star before “The Happening”????
Ally Sheedy? First movie Breakfast Club? Was War Games not a movie? Breakfast Club 1995? So apparently when I saw it in 1985 I was somehow seeing into the future? Amazing!
I had the same observations, but I’ll add that if the “author” would look at both her television and movie credits it’s plain that her career did not just wither away. She may not be big box office, but she has worked steadily since four years before The Breakfast Club. The truth is these things are slapped together by people who don’t give a rat’s butt about the subject matter because all they want is clicks. I feel a little dumber every time I click into one of these things. Note to self: Just because it’s on a news site and is presented like it’s another news item doesn’t mean it’s not just a lazy attempt to earn money via your clicking.
I don’t even remember The Happening, but apparently the 14 years of making movies before that came out did nothing for Mark Wahlberg’s career.
