Known as the most frightening tackler in the history of NFL, Dick Butkus was the fiercest defenders and linebackers of his time. He played nine seasons and got the name ‘All-Pro’ eight times. With his strength and fierce attitude, he managed to successfully complete 1,000 tackles while blocking quarterbacks 23 different times.

When his number was retired from the Bears due to knee injuries, he was initiated in the Hall of Fame in 1979. But it is sad to know that he never got a chance to compete for a Super Bowl, let alone win one.
