The Sound of Music got the title of the Best Picture in the 38th Academy Awards. The movie was great but we feel that the movie failed to capture what the Nazi era was truly like as the nuns seemed a bit too cheerful. ‘Von Ryan’s Express’ seems like a better choice.

You are completely wrong about Marisa Tomei….unless you thought her oscar nods for In the Bedroom and The Wrestler were undeserving to. And by the way, the oscar is awarded for a singular performance….whether or not the subsequent material is on par is immaterial.
