Laurene Powell Jobs is the wife of the late Steve Jobs, and has made a name of her own. She is a Bachelor of Arts & Science from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, and has a Masters in Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Laurene made waves due to her political and social influence and is one of the largest donors to the super PAC Ready for Hillary and also speaks regularly on Capitol Hill on ways to provide citizenship to children of illegal immigrants.
She formed the Emerson Collective, which uses entrepreneurship to help under-resourced students and advance social reform. She also started College Track, which is a nonprofit college completion program, and President Obama’s “My Brother’s Keeper” program. She announced a $50 million dollar commitment in 2014 to create better high school programs in certain school districts. She is also the largest individual shareholder in Disney with a 7.7% holding.
