Yvonne Bauer is the owner of Bauer Media, which owns around 600 magazines, 400 digital products, and 50 TV and radio stations. The company was started back in 1875, by lithographer Ludolph Bauer, and Yvonne is the fifth generation family member to run the company.

However, she had to work for her position, and graduated from the University of Bamberg in German philology. After that, she went to join the publishing house Hoffman and Campe for apprenticeship and only joined Bauer Media in 2005. She took over in 2010 after her father transferred 85% of the company to her.
