Trump may have taken a long time to secure the Republican nomination, but that was because his views are so different than traditional Republicans. He isn’t a conservative and he continuously changes his stance on border security and immigration. He can sometimes come off as contradictory, but that is only because he doesn’t want to support something he doesn’t believe in himself.
Many people see his views as wildly deranged, but frankly how many voters actually care about policy in any case when it comes to election?
