It takes a lot of courage and heart for a simple alien to directly challenge a Jedi Knight in combat. General Grievous had spinning arms with lightsabers and all the courage that you could want. Grievous is the only villain in ‘Star Wars’ who can actually beat a Jedi in a lightsaber battle, without using the Force.

Grievous’ best moments weren’t filmed, and were seen in Clone Wars comics and cartoons, where his body count increased and details of his tragic origin were revealed. Still General Grievous did leave a formidable mark on the Star Wars galaxy as one of its greatest villains.
