Olympic superstar swimmer Michael Phelps didn’t always feel like a winner. He was diagnosed with ADHD in 6th grade, and while his daily dose of Ritalin helped, he viewed it as a crutch and wanted to overcome his need for the drug. While it took some time, he eventually found that rigorous and self-disciplined swim training gave him an outlet for all his nervous and fidgety energy, and thus became one of the most decorated Olympians of all time.
