Barack’s endorsement of Clinton was the assurance she was not going to win the election. Think about it – how many candidates he endorsed won; he endorsed Britain staying in the EU and we now have Brexit; he did the same for the Italian constitutional amendment which the Italians soundly rejected; he loves Merkel so the Germans is returning the favor by falling out of love with her; early on his first term he campaigned for the last summer Olympics be in the US so we had Rio.
