The band isn’t that bad, but the reason that people have so much hatred for the band is that it is a boy band just like many others that came and never conquered.

Just like other boy bands like the Backstreet Boys, the Jonas Brothers, and the Wanted, One Direction is also a band that features a group of boys that are too cute to handle for many. The hatred for this band is mostly because of the history of boy bands. Other than that, they really have made some good songs.
