The LGBT movement and laws on abortion are two more topics that will become the center of the debate this year. With laws such as transgender men and women using the bathroom, as stated on their birth certificate rather than how they identify themselves, people will see how each candidate responds to these laws and the rights of the LGBT community.
Clinton, although against the LGBT movement in the beginning of her career, has come out in support for them. Trump has gone on to state that transgender men and women can use any bathroom in Trump Towers.
On the topic of abortion, Trump has stated that a woman who gets an abortions should be held responsible and be punished, not the man. The debates will see each candidate’s stance on these issues and see how moderate in their approach to the rights and acceptance of the LGBT and woman’s rights they can be, especially Donald Trump in this instance.
