David Bowie launched his Ziggy Stardust stage show at the Toby Jug pub in Tolworth with the Spiders from Mars on 10^th February, 1972. He dressed in a striking costume, with red dyed hair, and the show was a spectacular hit with everyone, and sparked his rise to stardom. He toured all over the U.K. in the following 6 months and even created a ‘cult of Bowie’.
