David Bowie actually formed his very first band when he was only 15 years old. He played guitar-based rock and roll at weddings, and local youth gatherings. His band was called the Konrads, and had a varied line of 4 to 8 members. Bowie quickly grew frustrated by the lack of ambition exhibited by his band mates and he left the Konrads to join his second band, the King Bees.
