10) He Shouldn’t Believe His Own Hype (10 of 10)
Conor McGregor is the Golden Boy and Poster Child of the UFC, and is undoubtedly the highest paid fighter in the UFC Featherweight Division. He is obviously the champion and deserves all the accolades and respect that he gets. However, like Ronda Rousey, he had probably started to believe in his own hype a little bit too much.
In the lead-up to the fight, McGregor spent almost every day in front of the camera instead of preparing for the fight. His lack of dedication to preparation also played a role in his loss to Nate Diaz, and he really needs to be a bit more professional. Right now McGregor is the champ, but he’s not unbeatable, which is something that both his supporters and ‘The Notorious’ can learn from this loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196.

I have some issues with this article. 1st of all, McGregor easily made more money in losing to Diaz than you, I, and everyone reading this article will make in their entire lives combined. He probably doesn’t need any advice from you. His style is stand up striking (punches and kicks) and take down defense. Does Jon Jones need to become a better wrestler? How about Ruthless? No, that’s not their style. He lost 1 fight to a bigger man and he should be admired for handling it like a good sport.
