A couple years ago, Amanda Bynes Tweeted “I was diagnosed bipolar and manic depressive so I’m on medication and I’m seeing my psychologist and psychiatrist weekly so I’m fine :D”. The Tweet was quickly deleted, and Bynes later claimed a friend accessed her phone and posted the message.

Despite the deletion, it is public knowledge that Bynes has bipolar disorder and used to self-medicate by abusing drugs and alcohol. Before receiving treatment at a mental health facility, Bynes was charged with a DUI and suffered from episodes of extreme paranoia. At one point, she claimed her father had someone implant a microchip in her brain.
