For the 10th time in about 21 years and the third year running, the UConn women under the supervision of coach Geno Auriemma were able to win the NCAA title.
The squad lost just a single game to Stanford in November. However, they finished on a high with a 35 game winning streak which went all the way up against Notre Dame in the 63-53 win.
