2015 was also the year that a subway rat in New York City managed to jump to national fame in September. The rat was caught on camera trying to carry a whole slice of pizza, which was obviously larger than its body.
It started viral memes and spoofs and the rodent was dubbed as Pizza Rat, which even got its own Halloween costumes and Twitter account.
