Apparently, Ronda Rousey was expected to face Miesha Tate who was promised a title bout. This would have been the 3rd match between these two fierce rivals but it never materialized. Holly Holm was announced as the newest contender to face Rousey and most UFC people speculated that she got the fight because it would generate more money.

Holly Holm showed herself to be a classy fighter. She was concerned over the welfare of her opponent and did not gloat like many would have. I think Holm is a legitimate champion who simply fought a better fight.

Holly seems to be a quality person and a multi-dimensional athlete. Rousey’s crappy pre-fight attitude and her refusal to congratulate Holly after the beat down shows there’s no comparison in the dignity of the two women.
