Double Oscar winner for Best Foreign Film and Best

1) Roberto Benigni – “Life Is Beautiful”                        (1 of 10)

Category: Best Actor

Year: 1998

Roberto Benigni won the Oscar for Best Actor in “Life is Beautiful”. It was considered to be one of the most least deserving Oscar wins of all time as the other nominees included Sir Ian Mckellen for “Gods and Monsters”, Tom Hanks for “Saving Private Ryan”, Nick Nolte for “Affliction” and Edward Norton for “American History X”.

Many people believe that Sir Ian Mckellen should have won the Oscar for Best Actor for his role in “Gods and Monsters”, while Edward Norton should have been the runner up.
